Hi, and welcome to my site!

My name is Mark Christine and I'm a New York-based actor,
musician, and vocal coach.
I'm originally from Massillon, Ohio, the birthplace of
professional football and home of one of the most intense
high school football programs in the country. (Check out
the documentary “Go Tigers” to experience Massillon
football mania.) I grew up playing baseball, soccer, and
football, but I also was an avid musician - playing piano
from the age of 4. I began singing in middle school and
performed in my first show, a production of FIDDLER ON
THE ROOF, during my junior year of high school. After
performing in a couple more shows I realized how much I
loved the theatrical process and decided that I wanted to
pursue a career in theatre.
Since I was new to the field, I spent most of my senior
year training and preparing for college auditions. I was
fortunate to have a great network of coaches and mentors
to guide me through the process - I would have been lost
without the help! After all was said and done I chose to
attend The University of Michigan – even though there was
some initial concern that my dad, an Ohio State grad,
might disown me!
At Michigan I participated not only in the musical
theatre performance curriculum, but also in an
independent study in orchestration, conducting, and
accompaniment. This was taught by Jerry DePuit, longtime
U of M Musical Theatre program accompanist and one of my
most valued mentors. I performed in and music directed
many shows; accompanied shows, rehearsals, voice lessons,
and recordings; and was incredibly fortunate to be able
to travel the world through the Semester at Sea program.
During my summers, I had diverse experiences ranging from
Point Park’s Summer Dance Intensive to summer stock at
West Virginia Public Theatre to a casting internship with
Pat McCorkle.
After graduating I moved to New York and have been
working in all of the areas I love: acting, music
directing/coaching, and freelancing as a musician. Take a
